Let Me Take the Christ Out of Christmas

Every where I turn this year, I keep seeing the advertisements about keeping Christ in Christmas. And that is all fine and dandy for those who do the whole religion thing, and actually believe in the story of Christ and the Virgin Mary, and everything that goes along with it. But that isn't the Christmas I celebrate.

The Christmas I celebrate is about decorated trees, Santa Claus, cookies, and presents. Nothing more, and nothing less. Well maybe a couple Christmas story books, and traditions from childhood as well.

LeapFrog's Hottest Holiday Products Including a Giveaway!

If I was a toddler these days, I would be all over the new Leap Frog products like nobody’s business. Seriously!
The products they have come out with, just in the past year since my oldest son got his Leapster are amazing, and I am really excited to be able to giveaway a Tag Reading system to one of my readers!
I also had the change to review the new leap pad which is featured over there in the picture! And kids toys have come such a long way since I was young… heck since my nephew was a kid too, and he is only 15!

'Tis The Season for Toddler Christmas Crafts

Christmas time is here again, and now that December is upon us I am in fully blown panic mode, as well as feel like it is totally acceptable to blog about Christmas crafts and all kinds of wintery and seasonal fun.
I didn’t want to push Christmas stuff in October like all the stores in my local area. Nothing like walking into our Sears in the mall two weeks before Halloween and seeing their entire Christmas shop open!

My Husband: Clark Griswold

This weekend we went into full blown Christmas mode in our house. Since last weekend, even before Thanksgiving our three year old has been repeatedly requesting our Christmas tree go up.  Which is fine by me, but my husband is that guy who refuses to get into the spirit till after the turkey has been carved.

Totally fine with me, not so much with the kid though.

After an almost week long battle, we started prepping the house and outside of the house for our decor yesterday.

Santa Broke My Heart

This is the Santa in my life. We have gone to see him every year since the kids were born. Heck, even before Camden was born I went to him for his   Merry Christmas... because I swear he was really magical.

I know... y'all think I am missing a screw or twelve now... but I have to tell you why I knew he was magical.

30 Days of the Elf on the Shelf Project

Elf on the Shelf!

Finally I went out and bought one. Since I first saw the idea, I thought it was genius. The book itself is so cute, and it is a great way to helping to kids how Santa really knows that they are being naughty or nice.

Because I have been so inspired by the whole Elf on the Shelf idea, I am going to do 30 days of Elf on the Shelf right here on my site.

The Secret is in The Claus

I figured it out... the secret to keeping my two toddlers from not killing each other.

No crying... no pushing... no whining... no fighting over toys... no jealousy... It is almost like these are two different little boys.

And I discovered it all this morning while I was getting out of my super quick 5 minute mom shower...

Top Toddler Toys This Holiday Season

Christmas is coming, and because I am always last minute when it comes to presents, I am desperately trying to get all my shopping done before the end of November.
Screw black Friday, screw all the week of Christmas sales, I just can’t do it this year. I did it last year and I almost went directly off the deep end! No thank you! Especially since I have three kids to buy for this year!
Who thought being Santa would really be this much stress, and work? I certainly never did!
