These Aren't Your Mom's Cloth Diapers

When I told my mother I was going to cloth diaper over a year ago, she looked at me like I had three heads and told me about her cloth diapering experience... because both of my siblings were born ling before disposable diapers were what most people used.

She told me about the pre-folds, the pins, rubber pants and all those nightmarish words most cloth diapering mothers today don't even know!

When She saw my middle son's Applecheeks cloth diapers and learned the concept of a pocket diaper she was slightly shocked. Surprised at how far the diapers have really come.

Heck, even the advanced wet bags boggled her mind. I kept telling her "These aren't like your cloth diapers Ma"  Because they really aren't!

Back to Cloth

Cloth diapers are back, and here to stay.

I have cloth diapered on and off for over a year now. I started last August and then by mid-September I was pregnant, deep in the middle of morning sickness and even the smell of a clean, washed, fresh cloth diaper would send me right over the vomit edge.

Heck, changing diapers in general often did me in, but my biggest aversion became washed cloth diapers. Not even the dirty ones!
