AAP Says Skip the Bumpers... AGAIN!

A while ago I wrote a post about why I chose to use Wonder Bumpers in our crib. We started with my middle son, and continued to use them with our daughter.  Why?
Because after my oldest son, and using traditional wrap around crib bumpers with him, I learned how deadly they are.  Apparently now the American Academy of Pediatrics is jumping on board as well.
Yesterday CNN reported that the AAP is telling parents to get traditional crib bumpers the hell out of their cribs because basically… they are deadly.

Plan B and XOJane.com

A recipe for HIV for Cat Marnell a writer at XoJane.com who took on the topic of women using Plan B as a form of birth control last week.  And actually described how she uses it as a form of birth control, because it is only $50 and it is available without a prescription.

She is the main reason why so many law makers never wanted it made available over the counter.  Congratulations for continuing the stereotype, it does wonders for the pro-choice cause.

Now, of course I do not agree with the use of Plan B as birth control... it simply is stupid to depend on something designed for emergency use as a day in and day out birth control. Nothing shocking about that.

But the writer Cat talks about why she has made the choices to use Plan B as her method of birth control... because of course birth control pills are going to make you fat. For real.
