Addie's Cranio-Facial Plastic Surgeon Appointment

This morning Addison went for her appointment with a cranio-facial plastic surgeon affiliated with the Yale Children's Hospital.

First things first... I could not rave about Yale as a whole enough. They took care of my high risk needs when I was pregnant with Addison, and always had amazingly fantastic experiences there. This time was no different.

The office we went to was clean, catered to kids obviously, but of all ages... toys for Addie's age group and up. And I did not have to wait long at all. We had a 10am appointment and were there by 9:45 and I didn't even have time to fill out all the paperwork before they called us in.

I Am Thankful for Addison

Thanksgiving is when we give thanks for all in our life we are thankful for right?
Well 2011 has been a roller coaster of a year for our family. We welcomed the first little girl since I was born in 1985, we lost my big sister tragically, and somehow I have found the strength to make it through the holidays… at least I think I have.

Addie is Six Months Old!

Six months old already… where has the first half year of Addie’s life gone? It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital cradling this petite and fragile 5 pound 12 ounce little girl, and now I am struggling to lug around this chunky little Princess with more rolls than a bakery!
She has personality!  That is for sure. If she wants something…you will know it.  But overall she is an awesome baby.  We are still going strong breastfeeding which for me is a giant accomplishment.

Happy Five Months Addie!

Guess who is five months old already?
I literally cannot believe she is actually here, let alone a whole five months old already. Every time the 30th rolls around it almost seems bitter sweet since everything from her conception to her arrival were giant surprises to everyone in our family.
After two planned children, a surprise baby is certainly a whole new can of worms, and I must say, she has been the most pleasant surprise in our lives!
So lets do a little progress rundown!

Sitting Up... Already! I'm In Trouble! [Video]

She likes sitting like a little pretzel!

Addie has a new trick to add to her list of recent accomplishments which are going to send me right over the edge…
She is now sitting up, or at least trying her hardest to stay in a sitting up type position once I lightly assist her. Because seriously she doesn’t really need help.
She must have abs of steel from all the little baby crunches she does on a daily basis.
