Oh and if you haven't figured it out yet I work for Babble.com.
My day started out with the rumors, and the only solid report of the acquisition removed by the publisher till Babble actually announced it, which had my blood pressure through the roof with the thought that I was going to lose my job.
Talk about one hell of a way to start a Monday morning!
Drop toddler off at school, get coffee, and even before my coffee kicked in... have a damn near heart attack.
By noon time I was ok with everything going on, I mean its Disney! We love Disney... my kids are Disney kids through and through, and have been since the get go. It was my childhood, and now it is what I want for my own children.
The biggest score out of it all is the fact that my job is secure, and with the economy today that is what matters the most.
Everyone at Babble is amazingly hard workers. The editors, founders, everyone... Hell I remember talking to Rufus (the founder) for the first time when I was at BlogHer 2010, and some of the ideas and thoughts he had, and talked about were downright genius.
The team certainly deserves this awesome development.
I am so proud to be a writer at Babble during this!
