Kim Kardashian and the Case for Gay Marriage

Marriage is sacred?  So sacred that the vast majority of states in our country will not put down their bigoted views and allow same sex couples get married.

Yes millions of Americans tuned into the wedding of Kim Kardashian and douche bag basketball player Kris Humphries.  Yes, I was one of those Americans because to me the whole series is like a giant reality train wreck I can't get away from.

Through the whole wedding special I felt sorry for Kim. Honestly!   I truly did!

Kris acted like nothing short of a giant douche bag. Simple.
All his little games, actions... everything. He was like a six year old little boy just trying to get into the spotlight, which is probably why he ended up with Kim to begin with.

But that is totally beside the point. My point is that celebrities like Kim, who is on her second marriage and counting... continue to make a mockery out of the sacred act of marriage, yet couples who have been together three thousand times longer than the celebrity couple of the week cannot legally get married because some homophobes who just so happen to be in charge of the laws in certain areas think gay people shouldn't have the same damn rights straight people have.

Not for nothing but if people like Kim can get married... anyone should be able to. It is a sad day for America when we can sit here and watch the tabloids buzzing of kids seventy something day marriage, which will no doubt be the highlight of the news stands for several upcoming weeks, but people who truly love each other, and are committed cannot marry the one they love, or share the same couples benefits.

FAIL AMERICA! FAIL!
