Changes changes! Well for a long time I have felt like I "outgrew" the blog Momotics. I felt limited to certain topics and subjects when it came to writing. Most of my initial followers were natural childbirth advocates and after my last pregnancy, birth, and knowing we will most likely not have anymore children... I just can't limit myself to certain topics anymore.
I want to continue to expand into parenting writing, current events, crafts, linking up my Babble blog posts, and of course life in general. I don't want to be limited to The Politics of Parenting anymore.
I have just simply outgrown the blog name, and really, I can never outgrow being Danielle Elwood. That is me, well at least since I got married. Another tale in its own though.
I am excited about new possibilities, a fresh start, but of course I will be slowly migrating things from Momotics over here. There are so many awesome posts over the years I will not let go of.
I have grown over my almost four years blogging, and I love every minute of what I do. I love the amazing women, and men who have read my writing over the years, and I am grateful for every reader, and comment!
I am totally excited to see what the future will bring!
Was Momotics your own personal website or does it belong to someone else?
ReplyDeleteMomotics.com as well as Danielleelwood.com are websites I own.
ReplyDeleteI wondered because you said you wanted to talk about things on here that you couldn't on Momotics. Is that because of the audience you have started and they wouldnt want to hear about other subjects or is there some other reason. Just wondering! :)
ReplyDeleteI really feel like most of my community of readers that I build there were all birth advocates since when my blog actually became more popular it was focused around natural childbirth.
ReplyDeleteI also feel as though I simply grew out of "Momotics... the politics of parenting"
Change is hard but a good thing when we are growing. Growth is always good! Lots of luck with the new site. :)
