100 Best Companies for Working Mothers 2011

One of the websites I love to read is Working Mother.  Since I started actually writing for work if that is what you want to call it, I have described myself as a work at home mother.   But whether you work at home, or out of the home, working is working.

Today Working Mother came out with their 100 Best Companies, and I was almost instantly sad to see that Babble.com wasn't on the list because as a working mother I think they are an amazingly fantastic company to work with, and work for.

As a mother I am so very grateful that I am able to stay home, watch my children and also be able to earn a solid second income for our family. No matter what strange hours of the night I may be working, blogging, or what ever other commitments I have to take care of. It just works for us, and I count my blessings daily.

I get to do what I love.   Writing about our daughter, and her first year.  Blogging toddler projects and hysterical stories.

I have often wondered what would ever happen if I had to go back into the actual work place. With the cost of living, and daycare in my local area.  Would it ever be worth it?  Would we break even in the cost of daycare?   Questions I hope I don't have to answer because I enjoy working from home.

As for Babble.com they are excellent to work with, and work for. They treat their bloggers well, with respect, and appreciate all the work they do. It is like an extended family, not simply a job.

Maybe the 2012 list will have them shining right in the B's because I fully think they belong in the top 100 companies for working mothers!
